We are pleased to offer for this listing an antique Chinese soapstone brush washer probably used for calligraphy brushes. It is all hand carved from a block of 2 colored soapstone and features a monkey possibly getting a drink of water. This charming piece dates to the late 19th
or early 20th
century and is in excellent condition with no noted damage. Please refer to the photos for the best look; it will look and display well.
Measurements are: 4 ¾” side to side x 3 ¼” tall x 1 ½” d.
