    Tashiro Shoten Handpainted Bowl
    7" across 2" deep
    Beautiful antique hand-painted lusterware bowl, Pre-WWII. White bowl with hand-painted red, blue, green and yellow design, with gold accents. This 2"deep bowl has a peach lusterware glaze inside. Marked on bottom with an elephant and Hand-painted, Made in Japan. Mark dates the bowl to the 1930s.
    * Excellent Pre-owned Condition, with no chips, cracks or fleabites.
    * This is one of the marks used by Tashiro Shoten Ltd., a shop in Yokohama, Japan. The company also had a porcelain factory in Nagoya, Japan. It was in business before World War II. After the war, pieces with this mark and the words "Made in Occupied Japan" were made until the occupation ended in 1952. The company closed in 1954.
